Cell Phone Ticket Blitz Today, March 11, 2009 [ Back to Articles ]
March 10, 2009
The Daily News reports that starting at midnight tonight (March 11, 2009), NYPD officers will be on the prowl for motorists failing to use a hands-free device for their cell phones. The blitz will last 24 hours and extra officers will be assigned cell phone enforcement duty. In 2008, almost 200,000 cell phone tickets were issued. They carry 0 points but cost about $120 and a conviction to such an offense may result in your auto insurance rates being increased.

Testimonial "You guys did a great job and, if I ever get another ticket, you will handle it."Joseph D. (NYC) "My son hired Matt to defend against 2 alleged speeding violations. In both cases, Matt's team was successful in getting the fines and points reduced. Would certainly use his services again in the event I give my son back the keys". Morris S (NYC) |
