Traffic Agents Write Bogus Tickets

Two NYC traffic agents were arrested for writing bogus parking tickets. Rather than issue legitimate tickets, they sat in their car and concocted false charges. Agents Mohammed Islam and Mohammed Saleh were charged with, among other things, forgery and falsifying business records for intentionally writing shame tickets. If you have a pending parking ticket issued by either of these individuals, then you definitely want to fight it.

In the Summer of 2007, a NYPD sting uncovered 4 other traffic agents writing a bunch of phony tickets. These four agents targeted primarily out-of-state cars to maximize the chance that the tickets would be challenged. Islam and Saleh apparently did not learn from the mistakes of their colleagues.
